I often wonder what is the difference. It is a question of how we
often misapply scientific terms to our everyday language. I could
easily go to a dictionary but sometimes it is more fun to figure it
out; not so much the definition, but why we use the words that we use.
It is a common misnomer to call someone whom we perceive to be
different people at different times as "schizophrenic" when the proper
terminology is "multiple personality disorder resulting from a
dissociative disorder that is a defense mechanism to deal with what is
perceived as a harsh or unbearable reali..." OK, I see why that one is
just "Schizo."
I think I am a hypochondriac.
